When I first had their deep-dish pizza I loved it! After experiencing other family owned pizza places I discovered that there are much better pizza places to spend my money. The crust tastes like a corporate planned crust and have an excessive butter and yeast taste that lingers... Enough said. Try out family owned pizza places that care about their pizza!

As a national chain restaurant, it's sometimes not always necessary to review the food itself. Franchises are expected to adhere to quality standards as mandated by the main corporation, so I can say that if one has eaten at an Uno elsewhere, one has eaten here. This is not a criticism, but a compliment. It means that they are capable to sticking to the formula that's required of chain restaurants, and that if one intended to come here, one knows what to expect. What keeps my wife and me coming back is the service and ambiance. We first started coming to Uno's a few years ago on Wednesdays after our chiropractic visits. One of the first things that appealed to us was the volume level of the music -- it's low enough to where conversation is possible, but still audible enough. And in fact, it was specifically because of this particular location's music choices that we discovered a number of artists that we probably would not have. As written in my profile, I'm a heavy metal guy. I'm all about the Bay Area thrash, European epic/folk metal, and the occasional foray into death metal. Yet I blame this Uno's for introducing me to decidedly UNmetal artists like the Puppini Sisters and Caro Emerald. So that's point #1 for this Uno location: an eclectic selection of music kept at a reasonable volume. Second is the chain's shift toward embracing the craft beer movement. While I'm sad that their exclusive Uno Amber (formerly brewed by Boston Beer Co.) is long gone, I do enjoy that they are blending their beer taps with a mix of the usual commercial/macro choices (Bud, Coors, Guinness) with national craft offerings (particularly Sam Adams varieties), macro subsidiaries (for example, Third Shift, subsidiary of Coors) and local breweries' products. For a beer guy like me, there's usually something good to drink on draft. And finally, the most important: the service. I understand that, as a regular, I'm likely to get better service than the one-time walk-in. But that doesn't that I'm completely oblivious to how the servers behave toward other tables. When we walk in, more times than not, the person assigned to the host stand recognizes us and immediately drops the rehearsed facade of "Hi, welcome! Just the two of ya?" and speaks to us like regular people, with sincerity and banter. We've gotten to know some of the long-time staff members, and they've gotten to know us, even if our interaction is only at the restaurant. We remember one of the managers when he was still a server. One of the girls who usually works bar first started serving us before our son was born (in mid-2012), and sympathized with my wife who couldn't drink. In fact, as soon as our kids were born, she bought my wife and me a round of drinks to celebrate. All three of these main points -- conversational atmosphere, craft beer, personable service -- combined in our first several visits to keep us coming back so that we COULD become regulars there, and thus improving our own level of personal service experience. Of course, because this is still a national chain, the kitchen isn't as free to experiment with food offerings as an independent location would, hence the four stars instead of five. If they were, I probably would have spent the next hour and a half typing about their food in addition to the environment and service. But again, since it's a national chain, you know what to expect if you've ever been to an Uno Chicago Grill/Pizzeria Uno. Go for the food, stay for the company, because that's what we ended up doing!

My wife and I had lunch on Friday at the Mound rd. store. Uno has a half sandwich and soup combo but the cool thing about this program is the soup in endless. Thats right ENDLESS. If you are one of the persons that love soup this could be the a sweet heart deal of the year. Ok so the sandwich were ok but the soups (we tried 3) are good! My first bowl which is reasonably sized was french onion, I also tasted my wife's tomato which I liked as well. Then I had the cuban black bean chili and it was pretty darn good. Any way I'm not sure about the pizza I haven't had it in about 3 years but the soup are worth the trip.

I have been here 5 times with 5 different waiters/waitresses. We have received good food each time, and excellent service. I categorized this restaurant with Applebees, TGIFridays, and Ruby Tuesday. This particular location is the best around. The have a couple of Michigan beers if you want to stray from the usual bud light. Get their cheese sticks appetizer. It's a simply play on the grilled cheese sandwich, and it is delicious. It's not cheaply priced, but no different than the above restaurants. Yet, I do not regret spending money on this good food and great service. Keep up the good work.

Service was good, ingredients were fresh and refills were flowing, but the crust of the deep dish and all the bread in general was horrid. Not a fan of the food here.

Pleasant surprise for a chain restaurant. The food was well prepared and the pizza was surprising delicious. The pizza and pasta combo was the best of both worlds.

UNO, TWONO,THREENO, I can't believe I ate that many bowls of soup. Lunch time, diet time, time to skinny up. The good news is my work lunch buddy is on a diet too. Weeee. On the back of their menu they have a few nice lunch selections. Soup and 1/2 sandwich, soup and salad. I had the all-you-can-eat soup from their soup bar. I had the "low-cal" vegetable soup. Excellent. You can put as many or few veggies as you want. Note...too much squash for me. You can also ask for a couple other soups from the kitchen, French Onion, and Chili and something else I didn't remember. All total four excellent selections at the soup bar and three from the kitchen. The chili was real good too as well as the french onion. My lunch buddy had the Clam Chowder(three bowls too), must have been good. After all that I had the half grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough bread. Outstanding! Chewey cheese inside and crunchy carmelized cheese on the outside and real hot! Watch out for that first bite. The service was very good. She kept refilling my water(yes, just water). Bathrooms clean. Lots of old looking Chicago bling all over the walls. After all that soup and water I sloshed back to work. Calorie intake zero(in my mind), waste size- minus 1".....Great lunch.

5 stars for one thing alone...the one thing i've actually ever had there! The Lobster Mac and Cheese. This stuff is PACKED with lobster and so gooey and good. Last time I went it wasn't on the menu anymore so make sure you ask for it as they'll still make it. After tasting it my girlfriend told me, "It's so good I think I could cry". Maybe someday i'll get around to trying something different there but with how good this is....i'm doubting it.

One of the 2 locations that is still around that I know of. I'm addicted to the pizza skins appetizer and love the lobster and shrimp scampi pasta they often feature. This location offers curbside pick up which is so convenient for people on the go...like me! The staff is always so pleasant and friendly and always willing to accommodate your needs. I think I've only had 1 bad experience here (it was during a dine in) but all the good I get at curbside trumps that. They accept credit cards, yes at curbside too...And are usually very quick with carry out/curbside orders. Average of 10-20 minutes depending what you order. Bon appetito!!!

The Pizza and salad were really good. The menu is huge if pizza and salad are not your thing. They have a nice drink menu as well. Really, one of the better corporate restaurant chains out there these days. I would happily come back anytime. This is Chicago style pie pizza. The side crust is the best part. I don't order this style often but I love it every once in awhile. We got the one with the Italian sausage. I'll be back on the future.

I was pleasantly surprised with a recent visit to Uno. I had been once before, in Chicago, for some deep dish. The deep dish at this location was pretty great as well. Another person and I split the Numero Uno, which comes with onions, peppers, cheese and mushrooms. It was delicious. And just for context, the "regular" deep dish comes with 6 decent-sized pieces and is a perfect amount for two hungry people (or three mildly hungry people). The personal size comes with 3-4 slices I believe. The Caesar salad was especially surprising. Very big for a side salad and the dressing was above average. Others ordered shrimp scampi, lobster and even burgers. This place does have it all but it IS a pizzeria so I stuck with pizza. Makes sense, at least to me. The service is good and prompt, too. There are enough good beers flowing on tap, including Bell's Oberon and Two Hearted and Blue Moon. The beer is nice and cold, which is always nice. A lot of TVs too, in case you're a sports fan. This place isn't too shabby when it comes to getting value for a meal and enjoying good food. It's a tad on the pricier side, but with the right amount of splitting orders a group (or even a couple) can leave with some extra cash. But seriously, try the deep dish. It's a pizza place!!

Uno's is my ultimate pizza go to! Absolutely love the flavor and freshness of the número uno! Introduced my coworkers to the place last night, everything was delicious! If it wasn't enough that the food was great our waiter Ted was one of the best! We really appreciated the attentiveness!

Going into Uno for our first time we were unaware it specializes in pizza, and really didn't know what to expect. We started with Mozz sticks, I like them crunchy with a snap when you break it. These were a little undercooked, in my opinion falling apart as soon as I picked them up the cheese falling back on the plate. But they tasted good. I got herb chicken, with redskin mashed that was VERY clumpy, and broccoli. It also came with a breadstick.. Very yummy! They also had a nice choice of flavors for hot tea.. I got raspberry my favorite! My boyfriend got a sandwich and fries which he said was good. The service was overall good however a little slow towards the end to get the bill. I think I would come back, but.. Honestly including tip I ended up spending $36.00 and getting clumpy mashed potatoes I felt like I was overpaying a little bit.

I used to LOVE going to the Uno's in West Bloomfield ... until they closed. The only one in the metro Detroit area is this one, in Sterling Heights, and it used to be a 45-minute drive for me ... but now it's 20, since I just moved! I ordered the salad and pizza lunch combo, for $8.99 ($7.99 if it's not a specialty salad). I'm the type that normally would just be like GIMME THE PIZZA (not a salad person) but I was pleasantly surprised - my salad came with an Asian-lime dressing and was delicious. It was also HUGE - I was expecting a small little side salad. Then came the pizza ... as delicious as I had remembered it. (and 1750 calories, unfortunately, but today will be a cheat day ...) Uno's has different pizzas for different days, and today's was cheese and tomato, and they let me add mushrooms (my fave pizza topping). I ate half the pizza and took half to go. Our waitress was very fast and efficient, and I was able to eat and leave in a little under an hour. I will definitely come back to this Uno's!

Uno Pizzeria & Grill has become at least a monthly if not more regular stop to eat out. The staff has been always pleasant, social and attentive. The food is a cut above average. The menu is diverse and there is always something different to try. I have become a huge fan of their farro salads. When I want a European thin crust their prosciutto and arugula pizza fits the bill. Their gluten free menu is the best around. Letting the kids make be apart of making their own personal pizza is really great. Add a good beer and wine selection you cannot go wrong. Their website lays out exactly what is in all the offerings on their menu including calories, fat content, sodium, etc, etc, so you can be assured you are getting the healthiest choice for yourself. The environment of the restaurant conveys a old world wholesomeness that fits they way they operate their business. The restaurant business is a competitive one. Keep up the good work. I work in the medical profession. My business philosophy is the continuous improvement of the quality of life, service and product. So far Uno Pizzeria and Grill has come close to matching my philosophy. Keep up the good work and we will keep on coming. Remember, there are no standing on past laurels when it comes to quality and that is certainly so in the restaurant business.

I am giving Uno a 4 star for no other reason besides very slow service. I ordered the Rattle Snake pasta and it was Fantastic! Food and beer I couldnt be happier but unfortunantely I only saw our waitress a total of 4 times when we got there, when we got our drinks, our food and our bill. I would have drank more if I would have seen her more. That was my only issue and even then I am not complaining. I will return.

Not as good as the hype, having eaten UNOs pizza in the 80s, I can say that the place has cheesed out on ingredients. For sure a hazy shadow of it's former self, the deep dish pizzas taste ok but too small, and are an outrage to the City of Chicago. Ugh where's the deep dish pizza?

If you're looking for a nice sit-down pizza joint, this is the place. The pizza was wonderful, awesome crust!! Service was great. I was surprised at their menu... huge selection of stuff besides pizza. Will definitely come back again!!!

Uno's has been and remains one my favorite restaurants to visit. Initially all I ever got was their pizza (which is fantastic) but have started to branch out. As Loreen said, the appetizers are yummy. My favorite is the Pizza Skins, where potato skins meets deep dish pizza. An early favorite for me was the Chicken Milanese. When they brought it to my table I could not believe how much food their was! Two chicken breasts and lots of salad. I always had leftovers. Recently I started seeing a nutritionist and have had to make smart choices when eating out. Uno's again has made the top of my list. When you walk in to the left there is a little touch screen where you can look at the nutritional information on the food in the restaurant (if you didn't look online). They have a brown rice with Ocean Spray Cranberries side that is to die for. The rice is always cooked to perfection and the cranberries add just the right amount of sweetness. I usually get it with the Baked Stuff, which is another favorite of mine that is relatively healthy. Although the parking lot often looks packed, I'm always seated promptly. Recently they've had a big container of free hot cider when you walk in that tastes just like apple pie! It is a great way to warm up after being outside. My server is always friendly and willing to give suggestions. Even my grandparents who do not like to eat out anywhere gave Uno their approval.

When I first walked in I was impressed with the fact that they had bottles of Beringer White Zinfandel lining the separators, a quality Zin that is very affordable. The pizza looked and tasted like they baked it premade from the freezer section at the grocery. I could have done that at home and gotten my own $5 bottle of Beringer. 1 Star Pizza 3 Stars decent looking restaurant. Waitress was ok, Would be nice to bring friends to enjoy just being out in a comfortable place that is not your home for a few beers and pizza that you are not going to be all pretentious about (like me)

Antipasto salad not on the menu but they'll make you one using their own homemade pepperoni. Salad was probably the best thing we ate. My husband ordered the individual deep dish but asked for "kid" sauce (tomato sauce minus chunks of tomatoes) when the pizza came to the table it was so small we thought they mistakenly heard "kid" size. I ordered the thin crust which was ok. The waitress, while friendly enough, was joking with some customers at the bar and was playing with/in her nose thinking a bug had flew up it. She saw we were waiting to take our order and walked right over, explained what she was doing and then proceeded to take our order never once thinking about the fact that she should have probably washed her hands before doing so....YUCK! If I ever go back I will probably try something else on the menu because they had a lot of options. They also have a gluten free menu and a nice drink selection. Pretty decently priced but mediocre food at best and I just can't get the image of booger fingers out of my head :-(

We've just recently moved to Rochester, MI and have been trying to find new places in the surrounding areas. I have only been to UNO once but the pizza was amazing. We ordered a deep dish supreme pizza and two side salads to split. The salads were half price with the purchase of the pizza. Very filling and delicious. The service was also quick, friendly and helpful. When we said it was our first time visiting because we just moved to town the manager brought us a coupon for our next visit and chatted politely. It was a very satisfying dinner and we will definitely be back.

I eat pizza here regularly and I'm finally yelping about it. I will first share with you my UNO's money saving tip! If you go between the hours of 4-7:00p.m. or after 10:00p.m. the appetizers become half price, but only during those times. The menu has excellent and satisfying appetizer choices. On more than one occasion my boyfriend and I end up sharing two or three appetizers and our bill averages around $12.00. I favor the buffalo chicken quesadilla and the flat bread pepperoni pizza. The quesadilla comes on flat bread instead of tortilla and it's spicy, flavorful and awesome. I have also joined their club so I get online coupons usually it's $5 off if you spend $20 or more. The flat bread pizza choices are better and tastier than the deep dish choices. I don't prefer deep dish it just seems more soggy and takes me straight to heart burn city. The BBQ chicken and the Mediterranean flat bread pizzas are my favorites. They also brew their own exclusive UNO"s amber ale which is pretty good. One last note, if you decide on dessert be prepared to share it. My boyfriend once ordered a cheese cake slice and it was huge!

Service was good, ingredients were fresh and refills were flowing, but the crust of the deep dish and all the bread in general was horrid. Not a fan of the food here.
